The zine/book features five trips, including Mt. Diablo State Park, Yosemite, West Marin hikes, Lake Tahoe, and Big Sur. In addition to a different medium, we’ve cleaned up the information and images for each trip from those given on the blog. The book is printed on a heavy card stock, each trip printed on a single sheet (front and back), about postcard size, and the binding is a functional screw post that enables you to rearrange the order of the pages or take one card with you on a trip without having to take them all. We’re pretty excited about the design, and have put a lot of time into both the functionality and aesthetics of the book. We plan to create and release additional volumes, including additional trips in the near future–in the meantime the book has something both for the novice and experienced post-car adventurer.
Be in touch if you have any questions. You can reach us here.

I missed the gallery window… could I possibly buy a copy of your awesome book from you in person? I live in the city.
If that’s not possible, I’ll drop a note in the mail asap.

I’m headed to pick up a copy of your book right after work. Just called Needles and Pens on 16th and they have it (also happens we are going to Upudi for dinner). And I can’t wait to check it out.
We have been itching to do something like this for some time and the $7 is well worth the money to get us out and about.
We’ve been car-free for two years and have felt trapped in the city at times.
I look forward to future posts.

I picked up a copy from Needles and Pens a few weeks ago. This is an excellent zine/book/adventure-guide/publication!
Inspired by your wine country / harbin springs tour, we just got back from our own bike trip to Napa and Sonoma via the Vallejo Ferry over Memorial Day Weekend. Five of us went up there, and we had a fantastic time. Thanks again for writing the guide.

Hi Chris,
Thanks! We’re happy to hear how people are using the guide — did you guys bike CA 29 the whole way from Vallejo? (That stretch sucks). How did you get back? We’ll be posting a few more new trips soon, stay posted.
